housebound travels

“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.”

-Ansel Adams

Photography has always been my own form of therapy— a way to tune out all the background noise of daily life and zoom in on the details that are often overlooked as we rush through our days. There’s just something about immersing myself in nature and capturing a single moment in time that soothes my soul like nothing else can. For me, the creation of an image is so much more than just looking through my viewfinder and pressing a button. It is an absolute expression of my creative-self preserved forever in that place and time.

It wasn’t until living through this once-in-a-lifetime global pandemic that I came to fully appreciate the true power of the work I’ve created. Stuck at home, unable and unwilling to explore too far from the comforts of my couch, I spent hours traveling virtually through my photographs. Each one immediately bringing me back to all my favorite places without ever leaving home. On the darkest days of the longest weeks in the weirdest year ever, these images provided a much-needed and welcome escape from the confines of home.

In this space, I want to share my images and the stories behind them with all of you. I plan to take you along on some of my favorite adventures throughout the years, giving you a behind-the-scenes look into the creation of my artwork. My goal is to inspire while instantly transporting you to the most wild places, even if just for a moment.

Welcome to my blog!

here you’ll find my collection of photographs, stories and inspiration from all my favorite travels throughout the years
